We're looking for a Software Engineer to help us build the next generation of AI-powered web data infrastructure. You'll work on web scraping, browser automation, AI agents, and the systems that make it possible for AI to reliably understand and interact with the web.
You'll work closely with the founder across the stack — from browser automation and web extraction to AI-powered workflows, agents, APIs, and open-source developer tooling.
Build and improve web scraping, crawling, and browser automation systems using tools like Playwright.
Build AI-powered agents and workflows that can navigate, understand, and extract data from the web.
Work with LLMs, tool calling, structured outputs, and agentic workflows to make web automation more reliable.
Build APIs, SDKs, and developer tools that make web data accessible to applications and AI systems.
Solve challenging problems around dynamic websites, anti-bot systems, authentication, browser sessions, and reliable data extraction.
Contribute to and help shape Maxun's open-source platform.
Strong programming skills in JavaScript/TypeScript and Node.js.
Experience building APIs, backend systems, or developer tools.
Familiarity with browser automation or web scraping tools such as Playwright is a strong plus.
Interest in LLMs, AI agents, and the rapidly evolving AI developer ecosystem.
Comfortable learning unfamiliar systems and working on problems where there isn't an obvious solution.
Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.

You enjoy working close to the bleeding edge of AI, agents, and developer infrastructure.
You like understanding how things work under the hood and aren't afraid to dive into difficult technical problems.
You can work independently and take ownership from idea through implementation.
You're excited about open source and building tools that other developers can actually use.
Experience with Playwright, Puppeteer, browser automation, or web scraping.
Experience building LLM applications, AI agents, or tool-calling systems.
Experience with MCP, agent frameworks, or AI coding tools.
Contributions to open-source projects.
Experience using Maxun or other web data / scraping tools in production.
