Monitor Websites for Changes With Maxun

17.09.2026 · Karishma

Introducing Website Monitoring

Website Monitoring is the new way to track websites over time and know when something changes.

Instead of running a scraper manually and comparing the results yourself, Maxun can automatically compare each run with the previous one and show you exactly what changed.

You can monitor

  • Specific parts of a page with Extract
  • Entire pages with Scrape
  • Entire websites with Crawl

How It Works

Monitoring is built on top of Maxun's existing robots.

  1. Create an Extract, Scrape, or Crawl robot
  2. Enable Monitoring
  3. Run the robot manually or schedule it to run automatically
  4. Maxun compares the new output with the previous run
  5. When something changes, the run is marked as Changed
  6. Click Changed in the Runs tab to see what changed

No separate monitoring workflow is required. Your existing robots can become monitors.

See Exactly What Changed

Once monitoring is enabled, changes are shown directly in the Runs tab.

When a run differs from the previous run, you'll see a Changed button next to it.

Click it to view the changes between the two runs.

This makes it easy to go from:

Something changed. → Here's exactly what changed.

Monitor What Matters

What gets monitored depends on the robot type.

Extract

Monitor specific data from a page, such as

  • Text
  • Lists
  • Screenshots

Scrape

Monitor an entire page using your configured output formats, including

  • Markdown
  • HTML
  • Screenshots
  • Links
  • Text Content

Crawl

Monitor changes across an entire website as Maxun crawls its pages in your configured output formats, including

  • Markdown
  • HTML
  • Screenshots
  • Links
  • Text Content

AI Mode

You can also use AI Mode when you don't want to know about every change - only changes that actually matter to you.

Instead of comparing everything on the page, describe what you're looking for in natural language.

For example:

Tell me when births increase to 200 today

Maxun evaluates each new run against your instruction and tells you when the condition you're interested in is met.

Get Notified

Don't want to check your Runs tab manually?

After enabling Monitoring, you can turn on Email Alerts from the Monitoring section in your Robot settings.

Automate Monitoring

Monitoring becomes even more useful when combined with scheduling.

Set your robot to run automatically at the interval you need, and Maxun will continuously check for changes without you having to trigger each run manually.

For example:

Every hour → Run → Compare → Detect changes → Email you

Works Everywhere
